W2W this WKND: Final Four, MLB Opening Day, Roast of Justin Bieber

There's a nice mix of sports, TV, and new content on Netflix and free streaming sites for the new month. Most of the good sports are only available with cable, but the NCAA men's basketball championship will be free on Monday. If you haven't tried it already, this would be a great week to try a Sling TV trial. They will have the Final Four, MLB Opening Night/Day, season premiere of Mad Men, and season finale of Better Call Saul. Have a nice weekend!

Sports

The Final Four games are on Saturday evening, but a pay TV package with TBS is required to watch on the March Madness Live app for iPhoneiPadAndroid, or on computers. The championship game is free to stream on Monday at 9pm.

MLB Opening Day is on Monday, preceded by Cardinals vs Cubs on ESPN Sunday night. The free game of the day available on MLB.tv hasn't been announced yet, and ESPN is also broadcasting games all day on Monday.

In Sunday NBA action, Rockets vs Thunder at 1pm and Bulls vs Cavaliers at 3:30pm are on ESPN3, which is free with select internet or  TV providers.

In the News

The launch of HBO Now on Apple devices is just a few days away, with it reportedly coming in time for the Game of Thrones season premiere on April 12th. HBO is also coming to Sling TV for an additional $15 per month over the $20/month base package. The main HBO channel will be streaming 'live' on Sling, with on-demand content available. I haven't seen if it will include HBO Go access, or on-demand content will be available through Sling's interface.
